Minerals and Quarrying
CPRE priorities CPRE believes that it should be recognised that society's need for a high quality environment is as important as its need for minerals. Changes to minerals planning policy are necessary if sustainable development is to be achieved. CPRE can identify a number of blindspots in current policy which are preventing an effective response to the environmental imperative of reducing demands for minerals resources and pressures on the countryside.
