Manchester District Group

At an open meeting on the evening of Tuesday 3rd June at Manchester Town Hall, this District Group was formally constituted. The Officers and Committee are in place and we had 21 attendees following contact with over 200 organisations and individuals. The Executive has formally elected the Trustee Representative, this being the Chair, Mr Steven Jones.

The Committee is a robust collection of people with local concerns, campaigners on generic issues such as transport and recycling, and academics.

We are now engaged in the process of evaluating training needs for the Group and will be providing an induction, followed by specific instruction, to ensure that the Group rapidly achieves a measure of autonomy.
