Liverpool Regeneration
Due to its industrial heritage, Liverpool as a District has a severe need for urban regeneration. CPRE would like urban districts to address the problem of dereliction and decay which will ultimately protect Greenbelt and open countryside. The UDP should make full use of land within the built up area and should not use countryside or good quality agricultural land. There is no need for a review of Green Belt the main objectives of which are to check urban sprawl, safeguard valuable countryside and to assist urban regeneration. CPRE would like to ensure that local people living in the City have easy access to the countryside without having to travel too far. If you would like to volunteer please contact ruralengland@btconnect.com. Join CPRE here.
