Lancashire Branch Transport Campaign Group

As a reflection of our members’ concerns about the volume and speed of road traffic and the shameful neglect of our public transport system, we have formed a Transport Campaign Group led by David Clarke from our Fylde District Group.

David is an experienced campaigner on transport matters and he leads an enthusiastic team drawn from the staff, members, district groups and trustees.

The group will offer expert advice on transport issues within the branch area and will help us to give a professional response to specific transport plans.

With a predicted doubling of traffic on rural roads in the next 20 years, action on this front is needed urgently. We are now better placed than ever to ensure this problem gets the attention it deserves.
